A photograph of every part
It comes up again and again in the reviews: photographs of every component replaced, sent to the owner while the job is under way, with the bolts marked and torqued.
What nobody else had fixed
Several customers arrive here after going elsewhere first: the fault nobody could find gets found, and the bike goes back on the road.
English is spoken
Bikes and owners come from outside Italy — from Germany, from Ireland. One of them, after the service, rode home.
What we do
An engine is a body. You open it, you read it, you put it back together.
Six points on the diagram and six cards with the same number: open a point and you find the work that goes with it. The last three are not inside the engine, but they stop a bike just the same.
Illustration of a generic engine — not a photograph of a job
Cylinder head
Valves, guides, seats, deck flatness. The top end is where a well-kept bike separates itself from a neglected one.
Valve train
Camshafts, tappets, chain or belt, clearance. It is the noise you hear from cold that almost nobody goes looking for.
Piston and rod
Cylinder, rings, gudgeon pin, bore clearance. When an engine burns oil or smokes, the answer is almost always in here.
Crankcase
Crankshaft, main bearings, seals, lubrication. An engine opened on the bench is the work this shop likes best.
Clutch
Plates, springs, basket, actuation and bleeding. A lever that stops being an excuse to stay home.
Gearbox
Shafts, gears, selector forks. Clean shifts, and second gear that stops jumping out.
Fuelling and carburation
Carbs stripped, cleaned and balanced; injection diagnosed. A steady idle and pickup that does not stumble.
Brakes and chassis
Braking system, forks, shocks, steering head bearings, geometry. On a classic this is usually the part still stuck in the Seventies.
Electrics
Charging, ignition, looms rebuilt where age has cooked them. On old bikes it is almost always the wiring, not the engine.

The bikes he sells have been on his bench first
This is not a forecourt, it is a choice. The used bikes that leave this place have been checked in the same workshop that repairs them, and handed over the way you hand over a bike you care about — one review describes an Aprilia that arrived with its stands and a mat of its own.
How the used bikes work

The workshop
A doctor does not choose his patients
Bikes of any era and any make come through this door, whatever they are used for. A custom build is done only if it does not betray the original design: a bike is meant to be ridden, not only looked at.
In 2016 a magazine came to see how the work is done here and wrote about it: the account of an engine opened on the bench, with their photographs, is still online. English is spoken.
